Definition
Blepharoplasty is a plastic surgery that removes excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids. When both eyelids are operated on at the same time, the procedure is called a circular blepharoplasty.
Results:
The gaze becomes more expressive and open.
The shape of the eyes can be corrected and the corners of the eyes can be lifted.
Widens the eye gap, for example after injuries.
Blepharoplasty for the upper eyelids
Causes of the problem:
Thin, sensitive skin quickly loses elasticity.
There is a risk of wrinkles and skin sagging.
Aesthetic effect:
Prevents visual "fatigue" and gloom.
Reduces signs of aging and improves peripheral vision if skin obstructs vision.
Indications:
Pronounced skin folds, obstructing vision.
Facial rejuvenation is desired.

Blepharoplasty for the lower eyelids
Causes of the problem:
A weakened orbital septum allows fat sacs to protrude.
As we age, the amount of skin and fatty tissue under the eyes increases.
Procedure:
Partial removal of excess skin and fatty tissue.
Result:
The lower eye area looks tightened, rested and fresh.
