Ophthalmic surgeon
An ophthalmic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience in cataract and glaucoma surgeries. A graduate of the Latvian Medical Academy, with a specialization in microsurgery. He has practiced at Pauls Stradiņš Hospital and various regional clinics.
Since 2023, he has been working at the Eye Microsurgery Center, performing advanced cataract and glaucoma surgeries using toric and multifocal intraocular lenses.
Education and experience
Graduated from the Latvian Medical Academy in 1995 with a degree in medicine. In 1998, he completed his residency and obtained his qualification as an ophthalmologist. He has extensive experience in performing cataract and glaucoma surgeries at the Department of Ophthalmology of Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital, as well as at the North Kurzeme Regional Hospital.
Since 2023, he has been practicing at the Eye Microsurgery Center, performing cataract surgeries using the phacoemulsification technique, including implantation of toric and multifocal intraocular lenses, as well as glaucoma surgeries.
He is a regular participant in scientific and practical seminars, conferences, and congresses both in the Baltic region and internationally.
